Middle USA is a documentary photography series shot in Connecticut, about everyday life and the people who live it.

The Content Campus photographed an elderly couple rolling cigarettes under a lamp at night, a woman at her sewing table, a small-business owner among her handbags, and a mother and daughter shoulder to shoulder. The portraits are direct and unposed, built on steady gazes and the details of home.
